Mumble for #ubuntu-uk

For those who sit in #ubuntu-uk, I’ve provided another seat on an unofficial Mumble server. Mumble is a VoIP server-client system which allows multiple users to talk to each other.

To install it on Ubuntu, type the following:

$ sudo aptitude install mumble

Enter your password and, when it’s installed, you’ll find it under Applications > Internet. Run the ‘Mumble’ program and march through the wizard.

When you’ve done this, click Server > Connect and click on the ‘Custom Servers’ tab.

Enter the following information:

Label: anythingYouWant
Address: ubuntu-uk.gotdns.org
Port: 64738
Username: yourUserName
Password: ubuntu

Double click on the #ubuntu-uk room and you’re there! :)

UPDATE: This is dead.
